Founder / OwnerDr. Akeh Mac Henry brings over 15 years of experience in the field of counselling, with a career marked by dedication, leadership, and a deep commitment to client-centered care. As the Founder and Chief Executive Counsellor at Akeh Counselling and Services (AC&S), Dr. Akeh leads with a vision of holistic healing—integrating mental health, vocational restoration, and community resilience. Trained in every core aspect of counselling—including trauma-informed care, addiction recovery, grief therapy, family systems, and career counselling.
Merow Audu Akeh
Co-founder and Office ManagerMerow Audu serves as the Manager of the Counselling Department at Akeh Counselling and Services (AC&S), bringing nearly a decade of frontline experience in mental health and support services. With a compassionate and client-focused approach, she plays a vital role in overseeing program delivery, staff coordination, and client care within the organization. Her academic training complements her rich professional background, including close to 10 years as a Mental Health Assistant and Support Worker with the Northern Health Authority.
Chi Halima Sirri
Intake coordinatorHalima is the Intake Administrator and Bookkeeper at Akeh Counselling Services, where she supports the smooth coordination of client intake processes and manages financial records with accuracy and care. She is currently in her fourth year studying Psychology at Thompson Rivers University, with a strong interest in mental health advocacy, trauma-informed care, and community well-being. Passionate about creating safe, welcoming spaces for individuals seeking support, Halima combines her academic knowledge with hands-on administrative experience to contribute meaningfully to the therapeutic process.
Chibuzo Okigbo
Clinical ManagerChibuzo Okigbo is a dedicated counsellor and seasoned mental health professional with over 20 years of experience working with the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD), Northern Health, and other organizations in both the public and private sectors. Known for her professionalism, empathy, and cultural competence, Chibuzo brings a proven track record of excellence to her role as a Senior Clinical Counsellor at Akeh Counselling and Services (AC&S).
Hilda Boakyewaah Boateng
CounsellorSpecializes in counselling for trauma, anxiety and depression, grief and loss as well as relationships and life transitions. I am available to provide services through telepath by phone and video. I work from an integrative standpoint based on person-centered counselling. I have additional training in narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapeutic approaches.
